You can also take a ferry across the Mersey or visit the historic city centre Excursion to the Lake District: We journey, via Coniston Water and Hawkshead, to pretty Ambleside, where time is allocated for sightseeing. We continue taking in the sights, as we head for Bowness-on-Windermere, located on the shore of the Lake District's most popular lake, Lake Windermere. England's largest lake is beautifully situated, with high forested hills all around. 5 Days Day 1: Join the coach and head to our resort. Check-in at our chosen hotel, with dinner and an evening at leisure. Days 2 - 4: At leisure in the resort with two INCLUDED excursions.
