Exmouth Beach Break

Holiday Details

Exmouth was once considered to be the most select seaside resort in Britain. It now offers a rich mixture of immaculate sands, lovely gardens, a bustling town centre and a busy marina. Situated where the river Exe meets the sea, Exmouth affords easy access to this part of the beautiful south coast of England and its inland towns and villages. Just ten miles from Exeter, the county capital, Exmouth enjoys lovely views and stunning sunsets alongside the River Exe and its nature reserve. Exmouth is a Georgian resort town and was once home to Lord Nelson and Lady Byron.

Ashton Court Hotel

  • Situated on Louisa Terrace, part of the town's historic ‘Beacon’, where many notable people chose to make their homes during Exmouth's Georgian heyday.
  • The hotel enjoys super views of the Exe estuary and the beautiful coastline stretching out toward Tor Bay.
  • All rooms are en-suite, with TV and tea/coffee making facilities

  • Excursion to Broadchurch Country: Often referred to as the ‘Pearl of Dorset’, Lyme Regis is a traditional fishing village renowned for its character and history as well as interesting landmarks such as The Cobb – a harbour wall that was an important feature in Jane Austen’s Persuasion. We continue on West Bay, situated at the western end of Chesil Beach, where the dramatic sandstone cliffs, beach and harbour were the backdrop for the recent smash-hit TV series Broadchurch.
  • Excursion to Sidmouth and Seaton: Sidmouth, a beautiful and unspoilt Regency town overlooking the waters of Lyme Bay. Sidmouth has managed to preserve much of its ‘olde world’ charm, with people promenading along the seafront, unhindered by the intrusion of modern buildings, much as they would have done centuries before. Seaton is a charming resort that is home to stunning gardens overlooking Lyme Bay.
