Excursion to the Conservation Town of Stamford & Melton Mowbray: Enchanting Stamford is known as the finest stone town in England. Admire the well preserved timber framed historic buildings and medieval churches, delight in a walk along the banks of the River Welland or follow the Town Trail that takes you through Stamford’s passageways and market squares. We return via Melton Mowbray (don't forget to sample one of the delicious Pork Pies!). Excursion to Royal Leamington Spa & Bosworth Battlefield: Our first stop today is the Regency town of Royal Leamington Spa where you’ll find tree-lined avenues, pleasant squares and the Royal Pump Rooms which house this elegant town’s museum and art gallery. We then visit Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre where you can learn all about the battle when Richard III fought for his crown and lost his life. Admission included. Visit to Stratford-upon-Avon: Picturesque Stratford-upon-Avon features ‘Bard of Avon’ attractions such as the dedicated Shakespeare houses and Anne Hathaway’s cottage. Perhaps take a cruise or stroll along the banks of the Avon.
