New Astoria Hotel| Half-Board | 5 days | 05/10/2015 | Enjoy a great coach holiday to Belgium’s most popular beach resort. With horse-drawn carriage rides, bustling markets and the miniature railway, it’s no wonder people return to this vibrant Belgian coastal town year after year. The hub of activity in Ostend is without a doubt, a lively yacht harbour where you’ll find countless bars, restaurants and the old fisherman’s quarter which sells everything from fresh fish and seafood to locally brewed beer. Take in the fresh sea air on a stroll along the famous Albert I promenade and see the famous royal monuments, as well as the town’s casino and pier, from which you can enjoy fabulous panoramic views of the bay and the golden sandy beaches. Things to do: Enjoy a night at the casino; stroll through the markets; relax on the beach with a well earned drink.
The New-Astoria Hotel invites you to have a luxurious stay at our comfortable and modern hotel located in the center of Ostend ! The location is unique, the hotel is situated no further than 150 yards from the beach area and in a couple of minutes walking distance from the marketplaces, shopping streets, fishing harbor, restaurants, the nightlife and the renown Ostend Casino.
Excursion to Bruges: Bruges, once a flourishing trading centre, with its wealthy merchant’s homes built lovingly and to last. Through time, the city slumbered as a forgotten backwater, but its rich heritage and picture-postcard beauty could not remain hidden forever. Inevitably Bruges was rediscovered as an unspoilt treasure, visitors now flock to explore the cobbled streets and old guild houses in the Market Place. However, it is the canals, with their ancient humped bridges, that create its unique character. Small enough to explore by foot, horse-drawn carriage or canal boat, there is much to see - museums and art flourish, good restaurants abound and pretty shops sell lace, Flemish tapestry, specialty beers and chocolates…wonderful! Excursion to Ghent: Enjoy a morning excursion to Ghent. Affectionately known as the ‘flower capital of Belgium’, this wonderful medieval cobbled Flemish town with many canals, has a wealth of stunning architecture, including the three impressive towers of St. Nicholas Church, the Belfry and the magnificent St. Baaf’s Cathedral. We return to Ostend where you can enjoy a leisurely afternoon.
