  • Day 1: Join the coach this morning for the drive north to Troon, making suitable stops along the way arriving at our hotel in time for evening meal.
  • Day 2: Today we board the ferry for the crossing to the Isle of Arran. Arran is like a condensed version of the rest of Scotland, with its mountains, lochs, rolling hills, meadows and stunning coastline. Our first stop is Brodick Castle, where history can be traced back as far as the Vikings. The setting is fronted by the sea, bedecked with gardens, surrounded by hills and overlooked by the majestic mountain of Goatfell. After free time for lunch (not included) we make a scenic drive around the island, making a final stop at Arrans Aromatics, Scotland's largest independent manufacturer of branded toiletries, soaps and candles, all of which are made on the island using natural ingredients. From here we take the return crossing to the mainland and back to our hotel in time for evening meal.
  • Day 3: A leisurely breakfast and a free day in resort to relax and use the hotel facilities.
  • Day 4: After breakfast we leave the Marine hotel and board the P&O Irish Sea ferry from Troon for a 2hr 15 minute crossing to Larne. On arrival in Northern Ireland, we visit the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum. Here, you can have lunch (not included) and step back in time to uncover a way of life from 100 years ago. The Museum is bursting with horse drawn carriages, electric trams, motorbikes, fire engines and vintage cars. In the late afternoon we arrive at the Dunadry Hotel in County Antrim, our home for the next 3 nights where there will be time to relax before our evening meal.
  • Day 5: Today is all about scenery, some of the finest in the United Kingdom. Starting with a spectacular drive along the Antrim Coast, through glacier-gouged valleys of charming seaside villages and highlands of forests, bogland and waterfalls. This afternoon we visit the extraordinary Giant's Causeway, the only UNESCO World Heritage Site in Northern Ireland. Here we learn all about the history and legend linked to this amazing natural attraction in the new visitor centre opened in 2012.
  • Day 6: Today we travel to Belfast, where we meet our guide for our guided tour to really bring the history of this city to life. After our city tour, we visit the new Titanic Experience, which opened in early 2012 to crown the ship's centenary celebrations. Titanic Belfast, a world class visitor attraction, is a truly spectacular addition to the Belfast skyline. Inside this iconic building, we will relive the entire Titanic story, from her birth in Belfast and that fateful maiden voyage to her discovery on the seabed. In the afternoon we will have lunch at leisure and enjoy free time to explore the shops, bars and restaurants that this wonderful city has to offer.
  • Day 7: Departing after breakfast we travel to Dublin where we have free time to explore before checking into our overnight hotel in time for our evening meal.
