Tossa Beach Hotel | 22/05/2016 | 9 daysA country of cultural and culinary delights, diverse regions and sandy beaches, Spain is the perfect destination for a relaxing coach holiday. The Costa Brava is home to a dramatic coastline, hidden coves and bays, blue seas and charming villages. With its medieval walled fortress standing guard over the bay, quaint cobbled streets, beautiful beaches and village charm, the resort of Tossa de Mar reflects all that we love most about this part of Spain. You’ll have plenty of time to soak up the sun but if you can tear yourself away from the beach or pool, we’ve included excursions to the fantastic city of Barcelona and the beautifully preserved medieval town of Besalu, giving you a true taste of traditional Spain.

Barcelona Spain’s most cosmopolitan city is dominated by fascinating Gaudi architecture, treasures from Tápies and Picasso, and is one of Europe's best-preserved Gothic quarters. There’ll be time to explore Las Ramblas, the city’s famous pedestrian boulevard, packed with some of Barcelona’s best retail treasures and to see Gaudi’s unfinished cathedral. Girona & Besalu A visit to Girona provides a refreshing break from the beach. Behind its charming colourful houses lining the River Onyar lies the Old Town, with its imposing Gothic cathedral and maze of narrow streets You’ll also have the chance to explore the charming medieval town of Besalu. Beautifully preserved, its star attraction is without doubt the Romanesque bridge over the river Fluviá.
