Listen to the sound of a Welsh choir; reach Snowdon’s summit on its unique railway, or pay a visit to the picturesque, Italianate village of Portmeirion. We stay at a 3* hotel, located at the ‘foot of Snowdon’, in the picturesque town of Llanberis. Things to do: Ride to summit of magnificent Mount Snowdon; Learn to say Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch...! Interesting facts: Snowdon is the highest mountain in Wales and the highest peak in the British Isles (excluding the Scottish Highlands). The mountain was used by Edmund Hillary when he was training for his Mount Everest expedition.

Excursions

Excursion to Llandudno: Llandudno is one of Britain’s great Victorian seaside resorts, combining a mix of fun and entertainment. It's long, crescent-shaped promenade, streets of shopping opportunities, sweeping sands and wealth of attractions, make it a perfect destination for a short break. Whether you are riding the unique, famous tramway or having tea in the lovely tearooms at the Victoria Shopping Centre, you are sure to be delighted by Llandudno’s warmth and charm. Above it all soars the Great Orme that offers spectacular views in all directions... You can also take a tram car to the summit and savour the scenery! Excursion to Caernarfon and Beaumaris: We visit historic Caernarfon. A town that is dominated by its famous castle, ancient walls and its gateways give it a distinctly medieval atmosphere. In the afternoon we cross the Menai Straits onto the Isle of Anglesey, ‘Ynys Mon’, to the locals, calling at Llanfair PG that has been shortened from the 58 letter named place, which is the longest named village in Britain and to Beaumaris, that is fronted by its moated castle.
